About Us

Training

Too often, we meet horses only after the process has already gone wrong.

We know it’s easier to mold something new, correctly than to fix what has already been shattered.

We have heard the story many times before.

“I sent my horse to a trainer and they blew him up, never even rode him, etc..”

Owners come to us frustrated after spending time and money trying to fix problems that never needed to exist in the first place.

To be blunt, our program is built to do it right the first time.

We specialize in creating horses that are confident, willing, and “hole-free,” while still developing the responsiveness, softness, and feel required for true performance. A horse should not have to choose between being quiet and being capable. We believe they should be both.

Our approach blends thoughtful foundation with real performance experience, ensuring your horse stays soft in the bridle, confident and capable in new situations, and correctly shaped in their bodies.

This balanced program is why a large portion of our business comes from returning clients and referrals. Owners trust us to start their horses correctly, continue their training, and produce dependable partners from the beginning.

Reviews:

“This is our third horse we’ve sent and won’t be our last. They’ve all come back solid and gentle but with a lot of feel. With 90 days, they give them a great foundation that lasts. We really appreciate getting them home and it not being a hard transition to take them onward.”

-Mike L

“We bought a horse they trained and he went straight to work on the ranch. Easy to catch, easy to saddle, and handles long days like he’s done it his whole life. My older kid even playdays on him. Exactly what a performance horse should feel like — capable but safe. We’ve had repeat buyers specifically ask if we have anything available that’s been through their program. I’ll definitely give them a call if we need another. “

“We tried another trainer first and ended up starting over here. Wish we would have just come here from the beginning. A good colt starter is hard to find. It’s worth the long drive for us to have someone we can trust”

Their consistency is what stood out to me. They put a lot of time into them, and we got honest updates and videos while they were there.. not some vague “they’re fine.” Our two horses came back so much more respectful and Hondo is so automatic to rope on.”

“Una won her first show! The gal working with her is very impressed with how well behaved she is! Thank you for all you did with her!”

Sarah trains very similar to me, is a genuine, honest and down to earth human, and has with a well rounded approach to make sure they're broke and get real world practical experiences

(I've put on a clinic with her and she's also showing my sale horses in Cowgirl Cadillacs next month since I'm unable to go!)

Little Bit

Lot 49 } AQHA Rooster Sassed Me

2018 Blue Roan Gelding

"Little Bit" has been with Rising A Equine since his 2yr old year. He has been a wonderful all-around horse. He is competitive in the ranch rodeo or has even ponied in the leadline at the kids playdays. We have been able to do every job from doctoring, shipping, or branding on confidently. He is very cowy and hungry to work. He has the kind of disposition that makes him not only a high-performance competitor, but also a safe and enjoyable mount if a slower pace is prefered. Since starting him to current he has seen all aspects of ranch work in Wyoming and New Mexico through all seasons, while not being rode too hard. He is easy to catch in pasture, backs and loads in the trailer independently, does all the little things that matter well, and has zero issues or bad habits. Easy to shoe, clean x-rays, current teeth float, shoes on and coggins. Little bit has plenty of shape, bone and straight conformation for a solid, maintenance free future. He has truly been a gem that our whole family has enjoyed, and we are honored to pass him on to a great home while he is in his prime.
